Our Cosy Kids Campaign comes to an end on Monday when the Bedrock van will make a final visit to Drummond Laurie.

Thank you to all who donated clothes, ate cakes and bought raffle tickets throughout November.hospice

The money raised was used to buy more childrens clothes from the Strathcarron shop in Cumbernauld, who very kindly sorted everything out and bagged it all for us.  Although unplanned we were doubly delighted that two charities benefit from our efforts!

Increase in agricultural minimum wage

By | Blog | No Comments

Drummond Laurie Chartered AccountantsAs of the 1st October 2015 The Scottish Agricultural Wages Board (SAWB) increased the minimum wages for agricultural workers in Scotland.

The main changes were: agrimin

It is important to note that there have also been changes in the minimum wages for employees who have agricultural qualifications, work with dogs and with the overtime rates.

The above changes are likely to have an impact on your business in terms of an increase in wage costs. It is therefore important that you plan ahead to ensure that your business can sustain such an increase, as well as ensuring that these increases are factored into future contracts and forecasts.

Should you have any queries on the above or would like to discuss any agricultural related accounting issues please contact Margaret Bunyan on 01324 441266 or via email at

Drummond Laurie Chartered AccountantsbedrocToday we set-up our donation station for the Cosy Kids Campaign!

Throughout November we will be collecting warm clothes (and eating cake) to support this charity who help the Early Years Services.  Time and time again, they are asked to provide clothes to keep children warm and dry, allowing them to play out in DSCF3651the garden in all weathers.

Bedrock is a charitable organisation established in 2012 to give babies and children the best possible start in life and  to give parents and carers the best possible help and support to enable their children to achieve this and to give society as a whole the best future possible as our  children grow into confident, secure and constructive adults of the future.
