Drummond Laurie Chartered AccountantsWe are delighted to welcome another new member to our team this week.  Sean Plumridge joins us in our Perth Office as a Trainee Accountant who will be working towards the ACCA qualification.  Sean is originally from Kirkcaldy and before starting at Drummond Laurie, he studied history at St. Andrews University.

Sean enjoys playing music and reading. He also spends a lot of time with his three sisters; aged 9, 5 and 2.  He’s also does some long-distance running,  great news for us, so look out for him in our DL Team for the Strathcarron 10K!

Welcoming Faces Old & New!

Drummond Laurie Chartered AccountantsWe are delighted to welcome new and returning faces to our team.

Lucy Murray returns from maternity leave, she’s had a lovely year with the gorgeous Finn but it’s now time for her to get back to work.  Lucy is looking forward to meeting up with all of her clients over the next few months.

Having worked in Payroll for almost 11 years now Hayley Rafferty returns to Bureau Payroll after several years processing in house for Aldi in Scotland.  Although she enjoyed the experience of processing for one large employer, she is very much looking forward to returning to the variation and to seeing a lot of familiar clients having worked with our team previously!  Out of work Hayley likes walking her dogs, Bailey & Maeve, especially on the beach at her static caravan in Northumberland and a good book. She loves Tudor History and Geordie Shore in equal measure – now there’s a conversation!

Last but not least we welcome a new face to our team,  our new student Chloe Wilson has recently graduated from Stirling University with a degree in Accounting and Finance.  Chloe will be starting her ICAS training very soon and is hoping to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. When not working Chloe loves being out and about with friends.

Helping to Raise the Roof

Drummond Laurie Chartered AccountantsYou may have seen the recent campaign from Strathcarron Hospice to raise £50,000 to fund vital roof repairs.

We’ve pledged to help!

The repairs are vital to ensure that local people are supported during the most difficult of times and given every opportunity to not only die well, but to live well until the end of life. Without such repairs, we will be unable to continue to provide expert end-of-life care, love and support to local people facing a terminal illness and their families.

Watch this space to see what we’re up to and if you can help just get in touch with the hospice.

Proud to Sponsor Local Agricultural Shows

By | Blog | No Comments

Drummond Laurie Chartered AccountantsDrummond Laurie were delighted to be one of the sponsors of the Doune & Dunblane Agricultural show again this year. The annual show was held on Saturday and saw cows, sheep, horses and goats all compete for the title of Champion of Champions. As usual there was something for everyone at the show from the livestock, to vintage tractors, to sheep shearing demonstrations and the children’s fun fair.

Margaret Bunyan was proud to represent Drummond Laurie at the show and support the local farming community. She also enjoyed catching up with some friendly faces whilst enjoying the great weather. Here’s hoping this weather lasts for the remaining 2018 agricultural shows!

Congratulations to everyone who took part and to the winners!

At Drummond Laurie we continue to work with those in the agricultural sector providing specialist taxation, accountancy and business advice. If you would like to discuss any agricultural related query, then please contact us.
