country-file-logo-575x400Margaret Bunyan, one of our agricultural specialists at Drummond Laurie, was delighted to be Drummond Laurie Chartered Accountantsinvited to an event recently at which Adam Henson, the Bank of Scotland’s farming ambassador was presenting.

Adam comes from a farming family and from a very young age knew that he wanted to bosfollow in his father/grandfather’s footsteps and become a farmer.  He successfully achieved an HND in Agriculture, before going abroad to travel and work in the agricultural sector.  On returning to the UK he has taken over the farm tenancy from his father and runs a very successful business along with his business partners.  Of course many of us know Adam best from his TV career, presenting programs like Countryfile and adam hensonLambing Live.

What was clear from Adam’s presentation was not only his passion for agriculture, but also the importance of:

  • Taking a proactive approach to ensure that your business is responsive to change and thus continues to prosper, and
  • Having advisers that you trust and can go to for help and advice when needed.
