On Tuesday this week we had our long awaited Bake-Off. Kathleen Horne our very own Mary Berry had set the challenge and our five volunteers all 
excelled and exceeded our expectations. Kathleen had asked them to design a showstopper based on an event in 2016 and 4 of the 5 opted for Andy Murray and the 5th for the Brownlee brothers at the Olympics. The tasting commenced at 10am and we seemed to be eating cake all day, in fact we’ve continued eating it all week! There had to be a winner, we all voted on taste and presentation, the count was checked and verified and our Star Baker was Sarah Hannigan – well done to you all on a great event for charity.
As you know during December we are collecting clothes for Bedrock and their Cosy Kids Campaign and the money raised from the bake-off plus a donation from Drummond Laurie is being used to purchase more clothes from Strathcarron shops – two charities benefitting at Christmas!
