Deadline for filing amended 2021/22 tax returns

HMRC are encouraging those who have to file an amended tax return for the tax year ended 5^th April 2022, to file this online by the 31^st December 2023. The usual deadline for filing an amended return online for this year would be 31^stJanuary 2024, however HMRC are hoping that early filing will help to prevent backlogs in these returns being processed.
