It was the end of an era this week when our very own, unique and one-of-a-kind, Gillian Niven left Drummond Laurie.

We are sure anyone who had the privilege of knowing her, or being in her company for even a short period of time will know how much she made an impact on the people she met.  She is very much a people person and all of her colleagues would agree she has made a difference to each and everyone one of them over the years, taking the time to get to know them and their families.

As we continue towards our 10th year of Drummond Laurie, Gillian has been instrumental in where we are today.  We are sure all our clients would agree her cheery, fun personality and “nothing is a problem” attitude will have made a big difference to them too.  She truly cares about people and wants everyone to succeed and do well.

Gillian’s energy and enthusiasm has also seen her doing lots for charity and her work here has been outstanding.  She will often be found running, climbing mountains, doing kiltwalks, organising coffee mornings and much more…….  The likes of Strathcarron Hospice, The British Heart Foundation, Diabetes UK have all benefited massively from her efforts.  I’m sure her colleagues have secretly enjoyed the subtle persuasion tactics she so expertly uses to get everyone involved, we promise to continue the legacy that Gillian has left.

Local community organisations have also benefited from Gillian’s skills and expertise where she has sat on the Board or supported them with their fundraising activities.  Some of the organisations that have benefited include Strathcarron Hospice, Falkirk Bairns Business Club, Rotary, Soroptimists and Young Carers.

Gillian, you will be so very missed but we wish you all the best in your next chapter.  We know you will not be a stranger – you always were, and always will be a big part of DL!
