Business Advisory
In our privileged role as trusted adviser to a vast and varied client base, there are few problems, situations and opportunities which we have not experienced...It is not uncommon for our team to be asked to provide advice on staffing matters, working capital management, financing options for new vehicles and plant, bank negotiations, shareholder disputes and more. We are more than happy to help.
Financial Management
We understand the importance of being able to offer our clients a fully rounded package of services, including advice on pensions, investments, insurances and more...These regulated services are provided through firms of Independent Financial Advisers, with whom we have close working relationships. We also have a Chartered Financial Planner permanently based in our Grangemouth office. This ensures our clients experience a seamless service with a full flow of information between their business adviser and their IFA.
Accounts Preparation
We believe that for any business it is good practice to prepare accounts, not just to fulfil a compliance requirement, but to act as a management tool with which to run the business...In addition to ensuring accuracy and relevance of our client accounts, we take the opportunity to plan with our clients for the year ahead, ensuring that the business and remuneration structures being operated continue to be the most appropriate and tax efficient for everyone involved.
Payroll & Pensions
At Drummond Laurie we don’t just process payroll, we work with our clients to manage the full process from start to finish...All our clients need to do is send us figures, be it monthly salaries, or weekly hours, details of starters and leavers, and any other relevant information, and we take care of the rest; from producing payslips, arranging payments to staff and to HMRC, to filing your returns and producing reports.
Management Accounts Preparation
Our dedicated team of management accountants prepare regular (weekly, monthly and quarterly) management information packs for clients...Working to agreed deadlines, incorporating relevant KPI’s and a commentary to interpret the results, these reports allow clients to focus their own efforts on growing and developing their businesses.
Financial Outsourcing
We provide a number of services for client businesses, delivered through our experienced staff and reviewed by a qualified accountant/payroll specialist...The range of services which we can offer includes purchase ledger management, managing supplier payments, VAT return preparation and submission, payroll processing, credit control, management account preparation and more.
Audit
Drummond Laurie are registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) to carry out audits...Our team follow a structured training program to ensure that they are constantly kept up to date with changes to accounting and audit standards, the quality of our work is subject to ICAS inspection as well as in-house review.
VAT Returns
For VAT registered clients, we prepare and submit VAT returns, accurately and on time...As well as ensuring they are adopting the most appropriate VAT scheme, should queries, disputes or routine VAT visits take place, we can facilitate these for our clients – taking away the added pressure for the business owner.
