Swimmers of all ages and abilities including a team from Drummond Laurie took to the pool in Grangemouth last Saturday. 
Organised by Polmont Rotary the Swimarathon created a huge splash with 150 swimmers and 30 teams swimming lengths for Radio Forth Cash for Kids appeal. A total of 3730 lengths were completed and our team, David Wheeler, Susan Russell, Gillian Hunt, Margaret Bunyan, Christopher Wheeler and Andrew Sturrock did not disappoint, they managed a very respectable 157 in the time allowed.
Our fundraising totalled £463 and the whole office took part with a quiz, and a couple of charity soup and cake days! Last year the event raised £8500 and it is hoped that this year will equal or better that amount. All the money raised from this will go to supporting sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in the Falkirk area.
