With over 30 years’ experience of advising owner managed and family businesses, David co-founded Drummond Laurie in 2013 and in the years since then has been proud to see the firm mature into one of Scotland’s leading independent firms of chartered accountants. With a team of around 60 talented, motivated and client focussed professional colleagues, he has taken a huge amount of pleasure in seeing so many of them developing and creating great careers for themselves at “DL”.

David has also taken great pride in the contribution the firm has made to so many parts of our local communities, whether this be Strathcarron Hospice, Falkirk Foodbank and the various other charities we have helped to support, or any of the organisations we have sponsored, many of which our DL team have had a connection to, often through their children.

Away from work David has been married to Jane for more than 30 years and is a very proud Dad to two sons, Alex and Chris. Whilst Chris is training to be a lawyer, Alex has chosen to follow in his Dad’s footsteps and is training to be a CA with Drummond Laurie. The latest additions to the Wheeler family are Alex’s sons James and Luca and so David is now growing into his new role as a Papa. When not spending time with his family, David is a keen ‘fair weather’ golfer and also loves getting out regularly to enjoy walking in the Ochil Hills. David is an active member of the Rotary Club of Falkirk and is also a regular cinema goer with Jane. ‘Every other Saturday’ David lets off steam supporting his football team
