Margaret qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009 and has spent her career advising and supporting primarily owner-managed, family-run businesses. She has built strong, lasting relationships with many of her clients, offering them trusted advice and tailored support over the years.

She is the firm’s Director of Training and Compliance.

Whilst she manages a diverse portfolio of clients, Margaret specialises in the agricultural sector and is responsible for all the firm’s agricultural clients. She is passionate about helping farming businesses thrive and continues her involvement in the sector as Treasurer of Braco Agricultural Show.

Clients are at the heart of everything Margaret does. She takes pride in delivering a personal, high-quality service, ensuring her advice is timely, practical, and tailored to her clients’ specific needs.

Alongside her client work, Margaret plays a key role in developing the firm’s people. She oversees the training and progression of all CA and ACCA trainees, sharing her knowledge and experience to support their growth and success. Seeing team members progress and achieve their goals is one of the rewarding aspects of her role.

She also proudly sits on Council for our governing body the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), where she helps to shape the future of the profession and gives back to fellow members.

As the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer, she helps the business stay compliant with regulatory standards. Her attention to detail and inquisitive mindset are a perfect fit for this role.

Outside of work, Margaret is a proud mum to Owen and Florence, and she treasures spending quality time with her family and friends.
