Autumn is often not the best time of year to try and motivate ourselves to get outside. The nights are drawing in, the temperature drops, we live in Scotland and so it’s often raining and windy!
A few months ago, a few of us started a lunchtime walk and we’ve decided that for the month of November we will have a walking challenge. We are hoping that this keeps us motivated and active – even when it’s raining!
Walking can bring us lots of benefits including reduced risk of a variety of diseases and can also lead to improved mental health and well being.
So far, it’s been easy to fit into our daily routine and perhaps one of the best things is just having a bit of fun and banter together as we walk. We’ll keep you updated, as you know we’re a competitive bunch!
