Best of luck to our client Derek McIntyre of Murdoch Smith and his pal Graeme Wilson who leave for Rome this weekend…it’s not the usual mode of transport, read more about it below!
Calling themselves The Roamin’ Builders, the team have acquired a 15 year old Peugeot 406 with 165,000 miles on the clock and are currently preparing it for the rally. Any donation, no matter how small or large would be gratefully received to assist the duo in raising as much money as possible for their chosen charities.
The charities to benefit from the proceeds are the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society and Reach (The Association for Children with Upper Limb Deficiency). Both charities have a close personal connection with the duo. Derek’s wife sadly lost her sister to MS at the age of 34 after a long battle with the illness and their work to improve treatments and help people with MS is invaluable. Many of you who know Graeme will know that he lost the lower part of his right arm in a tragic accident many years ago, however, thanks to his prosthetic limb, amazingly he has still been able to pursue his career as a joiner (and also beat Derek at golf!). The work that these charities do make a huge difference to people’s lives and your support is greatly appreciated.
