hospiceDrummond Laurie Chartered AccountantsLast Sunday we were delighted to be able to support the Hospice at the Judy Murray lunch.  We saw it as a great opportunity to invite some of our clients who enjoyed a lovely Sunday Lunch and chat from Judy Murray, an inspirational woman who is a fantastic ambassador for tennis in Scotland and for women in sport too.  Her story was both touching and humorous.Judy25

marathonThis month will see a few more of our team supporting the Hospice when they take part in the first ever Stirling Scottish Marathon on 21st May.  If you’re around that day, please come and support all of the runners, who are putting themselvesrotary through the 26 miles for pleasure or to raise funds for their chosen charity of which there will be many on the day.

We’re also supporting the local Swimarathon in Grangemouth with Rotary in early June. Our team of 6 people will swim in relay for 55 minutes aiming to complete as many lengths as possible. The Swimarathon raised £8500 last year that went to supporting sick, disabled and disadvantaged youngsters aged 18 and under in the Falkirk area.

Our team here continue to fundraise, usually it involves food of some sort!  We had another successful soup day this week, with a cake day planned for the end of May.   On Sunday 14th May at 11am in the Park Hotel in Falkirk we’ll be having a coffee morning with some delicious cakes on offer plus raffles and other fun stuff.   Tickets are £5 on the day, children are free and everyone is welcome.
